The 16,200 square mile Niassa Reserve in northern Mozambique is connected to the 18,000 square mile Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania by the 3,000 square mile Selous/Niassa Wildlife Corridor. The management plan of the Mozambique government protects this wilderness and safeguards the development needs of rural people in the area.
